Week 8
I think biology is more important factors in shaping gender
roles. "Men and Women differ in their genetic structure. Women
have tow "X" chromosomes; Men have one "X" and "Y"
chromosome.(HM and BBD,1985,PAP9)". Men and women have a
basic difference base on the gene. They have been different since
they exist. The culture factors can not change the biology factors.
On the other hand, the biology can change our culture. The gene
cause man more brave, stronger, and more "power". In the past,
man had more power than women. Men could control almost
everything. Because of the gene, it causes man are aggressive. Even
though, men still are competitive in today
I also agree with you like biology is the important factors, but for me culture is the most important. Like you said the gene cause man more brave, stronger, and more "power", in the past, man had more power than women. But it just in the past. Now men and women are equal in social, and at home also. They can decided anything together. Especially, in social women always make her husband has more power than her, but at home, she is the only one can take care of whole family, so they have a liitle more power.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the biology factors never change, but the social/ cultural factor are depend on the place where humans grow up. In addition, women are more delicate and less strong than men. However, sometimes women
ReplyDeletehave the hard part when they are householder and risen their children by themselves.
